Using a Pentax K1000 film camera, 35mm slide film, and in-camera multiple exposure methods, I captured Are We There Yet? in Rome, Italy during the summer of 2017. What you see is exactly what is on the film frame, i.e. this image is not manipulated digitally. I started intentionally multiply exposing my film in 2004 because I kept accidentally doing it. I figured I should do it on purpose and see if I can create photographs more akin to paintings.
Are We There Yet? , for me, is the moment when I finally got there – I mastered the in-camera multiple exposure method and created painting-like photographs. I continue to explore its possibilities and potential. To learn more about my work, check out catherinebruce.com .

Utilizando una cámara Pentax K1000 con película de 35mm, con exposición múltiple, disparé «¿Todavía estamos allí?» en Roma, Italia, en el verano de 2017. Lo que se ve es exactamente lo que está en la película, es decir, esta imagen no está manipulada digitalmente.
Comencé a realizar múltiple exposición de forma intencionada en 2004 desde que lo descubrí por accidente, así que decidí seguir para poder crear imágenes que parecieran más bien pinturas.
«¿Todavía estamos allí?» , para mi, es el momento en el que dominé la técnica . Todavía continúo explorando sus múltiples posibilidades.
